SB-995 script:

OK to call after business hours and leave a message. During business
hours, you’ll likely reach a staff person who will appreciate brevity. This
script will take less than a minute, and could have decades of positive
           impact.

Hello. My name is __. I’m calling about SB995 that is coming to the
Natural Resources Committee on Thursday, August 6.
            I urge a no vote of SB995.

•I live . . .(If you know you live in the committee member’s district use

o   Option 1:I live in the Assembly members district and would
greatly appreciate a vote that represents me, my neighbors, and
constituents, not developers and real estate investors.

        o    Option 2: Although I don’t live in ___’s district, this bill
negatively impacts all Californians, including me.  It is poor
housing policy, and doesn’t address the need for truly
                        affordable housing.

Thank you . . . for voting against harmful housing policy.
Please vote to “Nix the Nine: and nix SB-995.

Mark your Calendar: August 6 and plan to call in to the hearing to encourage them to nix the bills and nix the nine.

What are the nine bills and their impact?
