Nix-the-Nine Campaign Goals

The Nix-the-Nine Campaign seeks to protect communities by killing nine harmful housing bills being pushed through the 2020 CA legislature. 

The Campaign is a collaboration among elected officials and community leaders who reject top-down, unfunded mandates pushed forward during the covid-19 global pandemic when demands for health, economics and justice are priorities.  

We oppose the unimaginative thinking that relies on a one-size-fits-all model.  

And we oppose legislator's slashing local control and zoning for single-family neighborhoods in order to give advantage to the profits of corporate developers, while failing to find funding for affordable housing.
